"Wilby Wonderul" will be released across Canada sometime in August.
Wilby Wonderful was written by Daniel MacIvor.
Here is a brief biography of Rebecca's character Sandra from the Wilby Wonderful web site. It sounds like a very fun and different character to play. I can hardly wait to see this film.
Rebecca Jenkins plays Sandra Anderson, who has just moved back to Wilby after many years away. She really wants to find a simpler life for herself and her teenage daughter, but she is having trouble breaking old habits–like late nights and married men. “For me Sandra’s character is sunshine,” says MacIvor. “All she really wants is for people to feel good, but she’s physical and sensual and that can frighten people. And certainly she suffers from having been something of an outsider–she was seen as ‘the bad girl’ in high school and that still follows her.”
You can hear a clip of a song called "Somethings Coming" a song which Rebecca sang, wrote and played guitar in along with her future husband to be Joel Bakan.
Some more new news, Rebecca will soon be filming "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" with Ellen Burstyn, Jon Voight and Jeff Daniels. Her character will be mother to Jon Voights character "Eddie" as a young boy and young man.
This movie with the same title is a best selling novel written by Mitch Alboms.

Another very talented vocalist Jane Siberry is re-releasing "The Bird in the Gravel" - a black and white 11 minute video that Jane made for the song of the same title that was originally released in 1987 on 'The Walking' CD. While Jane herself is not in the video, she did direct it. Many faces from the past (band members and friends) make appearances. Watch for Gina Stepaniuk, Anne Bourne, Rebecca Jenkins, David Ramsden, Cheri Camp and others. More details will be released shortly on the web site so keep checking for the release date.
