CBC 2001/2002 New Season Announcement "Foreign Objects"
Foreign Objects
Foreign Objects is the much-anticipated, six-part anthology series written and directed by Ken Finkleman. The half-hour episodes are connected by George (Ken Finkleman), a documentary filmmaker with commercial taste who must address more complex ideas. With subject matter ranging from the evil acts perpetrated in Kosovo, to our obsession with celebrity in an episode positioning the return of Christ in our media-fixated culture, each episode presents a dramatic, compelling and sometimes comic treatment of its particular themes.
Other episodes deal with body image, disasters, chaos and order, and a comedic journey into the fears and neuroses of George that unfolds in a surreal tribute at an awards ceremony.
Joining Ken Finkleman (The Newsroom, More Tears, Foolish Heart) is a cast of outstanding Canadian actors that includes: Colm Feore (The Red Violin, The Insider), Arsinée Khanjian (The Sweet Hereafter, Felicia's Journey), Larissa Laskin (Peacekeepers, Foolish Heart), Karen Hines (The Newsroom), Kim Huffman (Traders), Rebecca Jenkins (Black Harbour) and Tom McCamus (Long Day's Journey
